ELION POINT OF VIEW

Similar surgical scars
may need different care.

A red and raised scar, a widened scar, and a scar tethered beneath the skin are not the same. ELION looks at both the feature that stands out now and what may be driving it beneath the surface.

MAP BEFORE TREATMENT

Read the scar,
before treating it.

See the full assessment
Redness and thickness

We look at how red or raised the scar is and whether it feels itchy, tender or painful.

Color change

We distinguish red, brown, white or mixed color that differs from the surrounding skin.

Width and surface

We check how far the scar has widened and whether its surface is raised, depressed or uneven.

Pulling and tethering

We feel for tissue held beneath the skin and ask whether movement causes pulling or discomfort.

SIGNATURE PROGRAMS

Two maps guide
where care begins.

01 / SCAR PROGRAM

SURGICAL SCARELION Scar Map

We review the surgical area and timing, redness, color, surface and tethering, then decide what to address first. Change is reassessed after three treatment sessions before the next plan is set.

We consider pores, roughness, redness, pigment, elasticity and deeper tethering together. The plan is not built around one device; methods are combined according to the likely cause.

A REASSESSMENT CYCLE

Check. Treat.
Check again.

STEP 01

Assess

Photographs and examination help separate the scar's color, thickness, surface and tethering.

STEP 02

Personalize

We choose a method and order that start with the concern affecting the scar most.

STEP 03

Reassess

We compare change after treatment, then adjust the strength, interval and next priority.

AFTERCARE & RECOVERY

Treatment ends.
Recovery continues.

Check when to wash and moisturize, when to restart sunscreen, makeup and exercise, and which symptoms need prompt attention.

Open the recovery guide
01

Washing and moisturizing

The start time depends on the procedure and whether a dressing was used. Select your procedure to follow the guidance day by day.

02

Sunscreen and makeup

Timing is based on surface healing. If a crust is present, let it come away naturally rather than picking it.

03

Exercise and sauna

Heat and friction can prolong redness or swelling. Restart after the recommended rest period for your procedure.

04

When to contact us promptly

Do not wait if pain is increasing or you develop blisters, more drainage or redness that is spreading.

SURGICAL SCAR FOCUS

We look at the area and structure,
not only the operation name.
