Looking for participants to record their scar treatment journey
Scar Progress Consultation
Scar treatment approach differs by color, thickness, depth, adhesion, and onset timing.
ELION Clinic offers progress consultations for people who would like to document their scar treatment journey.
You may apply even with limited disclosure — partial display, mosaic, or non-public conditions are available.
What is a scar progress documentation consultation?
This is not a promotional shoot — it is a program designed to systematically document scar treatment progress by type. Photos and videos are kept only within the scope you have consented to.
Records by Scar Type
We aim to build case records across 9 categories: facial surgery scars, acne / pore scars, burn / contracture, keloid / hypertrophic, traumatic, C-section / abdomen, thyroid / neck, stretch marks / mole removal, and breast surgery scars.
Decision after Consultation
Actual participation and treatment plans are decided at the in-person consultation. Your application and photos are used only as reference material to prioritize consultation scheduling.
Within Your Consent
Treatment progress is recorded only within the scope you have consented to. You select the disclosure scope at application time, then reconfirm via consent form after consultation. You may withdraw consent at any time.
Before You Apply
To keep treatment records safe and meaningful, we review scar type, onset timing, skin condition, photo consent scope, and visit availability together. If you do not meet the program criteria, we may still guide you to a regular consultation.
Cases where treatment documentation works well
- Red incision scars within 3–12 months post-op
- Irregular upper eyelid (double-eyelid) line scars
- Pre/post-auricular scars from facelift
- Surgical scars with hypertrophic tendency
- Clear box-car or rolling acne scars
- Areas where before/after change can be observed
- Patients who can follow scheduled visits
- Patients with broad consent for photography
These cases may be guided to regular consultation
- When prior treatment history and current expectations differ greatly from what is realistically achievable
- When you expect "complete removal"
- When consent for photo/video recording is narrow
- When you cannot keep scheduled visits
- When you have an active infection or dermatitis
- During pregnancy or breastfeeding (procedure scope may be limited)
- When a high-risk keloid site is combined with very high expectations
Ways to Participate
Participation format varies by your consent scope and scar condition. All formats are reconfirmed in a consent form after consultation.
Before/after photos and videos used relatively broadly
For cases where treatment progress can be broadly documented. Offered to patients who can keep scheduled visits and consent to photo/video. Use is limited to what you consented to.
Records limited to partial-face, mosaic, or de-identified scope
If full disclosure is uncomfortable, records are kept and used only in a limited scope such as partial-face or mosaic. You select your consent scope on the application form and reconfirm it after consultation.
Regular care path when Progress Log is not a fit
Even if program criteria are not met, we can guide you to a regular consultation. No model-related activities take place; no photos or videos are used.
