WHY WE SEPARATE
Identification comes before “spot removal.”
A flat pigment lesion, a thickened surface lesion and a lesion that needs medical assessment first may look similar in color but require different approaches. We also ask when it appeared and whether its size, color or shape has changed.

Redness, warmth, a fine crust or temporary color change may occur depending on the method. Do not pick at the area; follow cleansing and moisturizing advice and contact the clinic if the response is not as expected.

- Allow crusts to detach naturally and follow the advised cleansing and moisturizing routine.
- Even after a treated spot fades, new pigment can develop, so continue sun protection.

Frequently asked questions
How are a sun spot and melasma different?
A sun spot often appears as a more defined individual lesion, while melasma is commonly broader and more blurred on both sides of the face. They can coexist, so examination matters.
Are a solar lentigo and seborrheic keratosis the same?
No. A solar lentigo is usually flat, while a seborrheic keratosis may have a thicker or raised surface. Their management can differ, so surface and shape are assessed before treatment.
Will one session remove it completely?
The number of sessions depends on the lesion type, depth and surface. We do not promise complete removal in one treatment; response and recovery guide the next plan.
Will a crust form after treatment?
A fine crust or temporary darkening can occur with some methods. Expected recovery and timing for cleansing and makeup are explained before treatment.
Can a spot return in the same place?
Residual pigment may darken again or a new lesion may appear. Ongoing sun protection and follow-up are important.
Are freckles or acne marks treated with Spot Clear?
Freckles, post-inflammatory pigmentation and broader tone concerns are usually better assessed through the pigment and tone component of TextureAxis, which considers the full area and cause.
Are there times when laser is not performed immediately?
Yes. If the appearance or recent change is not typical of a straightforward pigment lesion, medical assessment and any necessary evaluation come before cosmetic laser treatment.
